Hunting in Zambia
Zambia holds diverse and unique hunting opportunities thanks to its sheer size and incredibly diverse range of habitats. Most hunting opportunities in Zambia are in unfenced Game Management Areas (GMA), that are located adjacent to the countries national parks. There are also a host of open private estates that border the parks or GMAs that also hold big and dangerous game, then lastly there are fenced private estates smaller in size but with impressive density of animals for the most part.
Game Management areas are leased by outfitters who manage the area and have rights to hunt the quota, these outfitters are responsible for building camps, maintaining roads, supporting anti poaching and conducting the safari hunting.
